Hydrogeological Modeler
- [Company] is seeking a full time entry/junior level geologist to provide support for the groundwater modeling department in our Newtown, PA office.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Mathematical interpretation of geologic, hydraulic, and hydrologic data
- Development of conceptual site models
- Development and calibration of groundwater flow models and use of coupled reactive transport flow models
- The ideal candidate will possess both a Bachelor and Master's degree in geology, engineering, or hydrogeology- related field, 0-4 years of modeling experience, graduate level courses in groundwater modeling, a strong background in chemistry, and research-related groundwater modeling. Computer programming and GIS experience are beneficial. Excellent written and oral communication skills required. Local candidates only; no candidate travel or reimbursement available for this position.
Basic and Required Qualifications:
- Minimum years of experience: 0-2
- Education required: BS degree in Geology, Engineering, or Hydrogeology related field
- Skills required: Excellent oral and written communication skills, groundwater modeling and previous GIS experience.
Additional and Preferred Qualifications:
- Education preferred: MS degree in Geology, Engineering, or Hydrogeology related field.
- Years’ experience preferred: 0-4
- This position does require travel. Travel amount is negligible.
- A valid driver's license and clean driving record is required for this position.
- This position does not manage others.
