Commercial Manager

Essential Qualifications & Experience

• LLB or equivalent and be an admitted attorney
• Good communication skills
• Excellent commercial drafting skills in the English language
• Ability to use Microsoft Office
• Be fully conversant in English
• Extensive post graduate experience, with at least 6 years post articles experience
• Extensive experience in construction, preferable mining industry advantageous
• Extensive knowledge of contract law
• Extensive knowledge of construction contracts (NEC & FIDIC) is advantageous
• Contract risk analysis
• Negotiation experience to finalise contracts
• Ability to rapidly determine key issues in any conflict/dispute

Main Responsibilities though not Limited to:

• Scrutinising of tender documents and formulation of tender conditions
• Negotiation of contracts
• Formulation of contractual claims
• Drafting of contracts
• The company will provide remuneration and benefits relevant and appropriate to the position.

This position will be based in Johannesburg Head Office and report to Commercial Executive
