Chief Surveyor

Minimum Qualifications:

Government Mines Surveyors Certificate of Competency
Appropriate NQF level 6 qualification
Advanced Mine Valuation Certificate
Registration with PLATO (Professional Mine Survey)
At least 10 years relevant mining survey and valuation experience
At least 5 years’ experience at the management level.

Responsibilities:

Setting Survey and Valuation policies, procedures and standards
Management and control of all Survey and Valuation work conducted
Management and control of the production of layout drawings for mining purposes
Preparation of layout drawings for mine planning - short, medium and long term
Accurate month end measurement and reporting
Legal obligations of the role
Ensure Quality of the Survey and Valuation work conducted
Training and development of personnel
Performance management of personnel
Administration and Systems management
Budgeting and Cost Control.
