Systems Technician

Our client in the mining sector us looking for a Centralised Blasting Systems Technician for their underground business.

Minimum Requirements

• Tertiary qualification in the field of electrical/electronic engineering.
• Diploma plus three years experience or a Degree plus two years experience.
• Valid Code 08 Drivers Licence.
• The applicants must be able to obtain a Red Ticket

Job Specification

• Installation and commissioning of all centralised blasting equipment, both on surface and underground as well as supporting existing network business with regular audits and maintenance. 
• To give on-the-job training and coaching of mine personnel so as to ensure the safe and correct use of the system.
• Identification and repair of network problems to ensure safe and timely operation of the system in order to eliminate lost blasts. 
• Co-ordinate record keeping of network performance such that it can be regularly presented to mine management to demonstrate the value of the system. 
• Build long-term customer relationships.
