Responsibilities
- This staff position reports to the Purchasing Manager.
- Assists in the management of purchasing and warehousing aspects of the project by coordination with engineering.
- Negotiating skills; Involvement with operation of our purchasing system, purchasing site materials, consumables and tools.
- Analyzes purchasing and warehousing costs. Assist in troubleshoots job conditions, purchasing, warehousing.
Qualifications
- Degree in Supply Chain Management or Industrial Distribution. A minimum of two (2) years purchasing work experience a plus.
- Candidates must possess a strong work ethic; demonstrate good organization, communication and interpersonal skills; be able to read and interpret design drawings and specifications.
- Candidates must have the ability to operate a standard personal computer as well as knowledge of and experience with standard office computer software.
- Ability to travel/relocate based on business needs.
- Must be able to meet deadlines and put in the time needed to get the job done.
- Candidates must be a team player and able to act independently with little or no supervision.
