Process Engineer

Description:

  • [Company] ., North American division of[Company] , a world leader in cement and building materials production, technology and research, has an exciting opportunity available at our San Juan, PR facility for a Process Engineer.
  • The purpose of the Process Engineer is to provide process and technical support to plant operations and other corporate functions with the ultimate goal of improving performance, efficiency, and profitability. This position is responsible for the development of the necessary tools (standards, reports, KPIs, procedures, best practices, training, etc.) to service the plant needs in terms of process optimization and the transfer of technical knowledge and cement manufacturing know-how, all in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and [Company] policies.

The qualified candidate should possess:

  • Bachelors degree in technical field (chemical, mechanical, mining, material science, or equivalent) required.
  • Experience in plant operations and/or engineering for the cement industry.
  • Technical skills for cement plant process analyses ? plant operations, plant design, and maintenance.
  • Organization skills.
  • Financial analysis skills.
  • Presentation skills ? verbal and written.
  • Quality, Tromp curve, and process equipment database systems.
  • Specific applications: SAP, PQDM, PI, and Microsoft Office products.
