Sr. Sales Representative

Basic Function:

  • Utilizing sales and service experience, solving customer problems of product application, use and efficiency.  Developing innovative applications of Crane products by interpreting customer needs and working with Crane resources to fulfill them.  Usually associated with territories that exceed $1,200,000 in sales volume.

Primary Duties:

  • With minimal supervision of Manager, plan and carry out sales and service responsibilities in the field.  Sells and services engineered seals, packings, and TFE. Evaluates customer and prospective customer needs for products and services and sells the superiority of Crane products to fulfill customer/prospect needs.  Develops innovative ways to increase sales by coordinating field product applications with manufacturing and engineering design capabilities.  Must have a valid driver's license in good standing and move, raise and lower parts weighing up tot 25 lbs.
  • As approved by Manager, may be assigned additional responsibilities such as temporary general supervision and/or training of other sales representatives.  May conduct seminars for specialized product/industry support.  Additional duties and responsibilities may vary upon individual branch requirements.

Experience Requirements:

  • Over five years in the sales and service of engineered sealing products, including maintenance and expansion of large customer accounts.
  • Requires knowledge of engineered seals, pumps and equipment specifications and plant operations acquired through job experience.  General academic education and sales/service background required.
