  • [Company] is seeking an Inside Sales Representative for its Somerset, NJ location.  The overall function of the Inside Sales position is receiving incoming customer inquiries via phone and walk-in business and to provide overall customer service and support direct to the customers and the outside sales and rep staff.  To be proactive in all sales related duties to initiate action by customers, reps, and internal staff.

Responsibilities include:

  • Take incoming calls from internal and external customers
  • Offer creative solutions to meet customer needs
  • Order/Quotation entry
  • Communication with shop and operations personnel re: open orders and inventory
  • Assist Outside Sales Representatives whenever necessary to ensure quality customer service.

Required Skills
Qualified Candidates will possess:

  • 2 – 5 years technical sales experience working in a fast paced office environment or degree in Business, Marketing or related field, preferred
  • Experience working with the Petrochemical/Refining, Oil & Gas or Power Generation market, preferred.
  • Will have strong mechanical aptitude and math skills.
  • Computer experience working with Microsoft programs and database software management programs.
  • Must be a strong problem solver with closing skills.
  • Will pay attention to detail and have the ability to follow up with potential clients, reps, and existing customers.  Must have ability to handle many tasks at one time and be extremely organized person.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written skills with the ability to work as a team member.
  • Will have a positive attitude with a customer-oriented personality.
