My client is a leader in the supply of Hydraulics, Pneumatics & electrical products into the mining industry. With a global presence within all mining markets, from soft rock through to hard rock applications. They are at the forefront of design.

Due to their continued growth, an opportunity now exists for an experienced Sales Applications Engineer to join their team. Within this demanding role, you will be required, to not only understand the application on a technical level, but also provide key solution to the end-user and the mining contractor.

You will be responsible for:

• Developing project sales within the mining industry
• Working productively with consultants, contractors & key decision makers to develop strong relationships within the mining industry
• Actively seek out new project opportunities whilst maintaining/developing existing relationships
• Applications solution engineering
• Manage relationships & oversee project development.
• Influence project design and specifications from concept to completion

To be successful, you will have:

• Minimum 3 years Hydraulics, Pneumatics and/or Industrial sales experience into the Mining sector.
• Electrical and/or Mechanical engineering background
• Strong mining and resource customer focus, with proven track record in business development and project sales
• Proactive and accountable professional with exceptional sales skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a fast-paced team.

Salary Package
The successful candidate will have a minimum 2-5 years experience selling into the mining markets of the Bowen basin. On offer is an attractive salary package which will include a base salary of $90-120K + FMCV + Super + Commissions, This salary package is negotiable due to experience and market contacts.
