Role Details
Gold Fields Australia are currently seeking a Advisor: EHS Compliance to join their team at St Ives Gold Mine.

Reporting through the OHS Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the renewed focus on operational discipline in EHS at St Ives, including EHS systems support and helping to demonstrate the level of SIGM commitment to Gold Fields values.

This role is offered on an 5 days on, 2 days off roster and would require the incumbent to be residential in Kalgoorlie or Kambalda.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Demonstrate full compliance with the OHS and Environmental Management Standards by participating in initiatives, assisting with the implementation of and contributing to audits within the mine, as well as inspections and observations, toolbox meetings, investigations, and training
• Provide a dedicated, expert source to assist in the sustainable maintenance of compliance with site EHS Management System requirements, including all legal obligations, permitting, certifications, corporate and policies, standards, procedures and guidelines including;
• undertaking internal auditing as required; and
• develop audit protocols, checklists and tools as appropriate with the involvement of site areas and external resources as required; and
• scheduling, controlling and monitoring outcomes of all external/independent EHS audits for the site.
• Communicate with and provide day-to-day support to operational areas in assisting Area Managers and their reports to understand and meet their EHS compliance requirements; including all legal obligations, certifications, permitting, corporate and site policies, standards, procedures and guidelines
• Assist with and be involved in day-to-day resolution of matters arising from EHS compliance requirements; including legal obligations, certifications, permitting, corporate and policies, standards, procedures and guidelines

Key factors to your success include, as a minimum;

• Completion of Year 12 or equivalent
• Certificate IV in an appropriate discipline or equivalent
• Lead Auditor for EHS systems
• 2 years experience in a similar role
• Advanced level in Microsoft Office applications
