Our Client owns and operates a successful project in Asia and is developing and operates others both in the region and in other international locations. On their behalf we are seeking to identify an exceptional candidate to provide operational and technical support in what is a key position. The process is reasonably high throughput, and incorporates SAG mill, flotation circuit, whole of ore leach circuit, calcine leach circuit, two stage fluidized bed roaster, H2SO4 Acid plant and arsenic recovery circuit.

Reporting to the Processing Manager, your main responsibilities will include:

• Ensure production targets are met or exceeded. 
• Provide technical input to the operations and management team. 
• Lead and direct a team of national Metallurgists. 
• Carry out metallurgical test work to improve plant efficiency, gold recovery and throughput. 
• Evaluate and recommend changes to plant operating parameters as required. 
• Maintain metallurgical data base and ensure accurate and timely metallurgical reporting. 
• Promote company OHSE values at all times.

In terms of qualifications and experience, we seek;

• Degree qualifications in extractive Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering. 
• Minimum 5 Year post graduate experience, preferably in gold flotation and processing. 
• Exposure to roaster operations will be viewed favourably. 
• Previous experience working with people of different cultures will be highly regarded.
