OHS Divisional Manager - Civil and Mining Infrastructure Projects

My client is a progressive local business with an enviable record of achievement across the property, rail, quarry, mining and civil divisions.  Due to continued success and project growth, we are currently recruiting an experience OHS Divisional Manager to work across a range of civil and mining infrastructure projects through Newcastle and the Hunter Valley.

The successful candidate will be required to take ownership of all safety aspects within the business, including:
  • Direct management of both site based and office based OHS personnel to ensure the company's safety management system is adhered to by all staff and subcontractors
  • Promote the development and implementation of the company's safety standards and legislation
  • Conduct safety audits and inspections, analyse the finding of these audits and inspections for systems improvement
  • Liaise with on-site management to maximise site productivity and ensure efficiency of operations
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
  • Minimum 5+ years experience working in the mining/construction industries
  • Minimum OHS degree with extensive hand-on background
  • Experience in managing OHS obligations within a site-based construction environment
  • Experience in managing multiple sites
  • Ideally have accreditation and experience in internal auditing
