Description and Desired Qualifications
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Qualified candidate will work in a team and have experience with and be responsible for site characterization, soil and groundwater investigation, and alternative investigation techniques
• Candidate is required to provide technical oversight and management of characterization and investigation projects, field campaign planning and organization
• Communication with project team and participate in technical discussions with clients, regulators and stakeholders.
Basic Qualifications
• Degree (preferably M.Sc. or Dipl.-Ing.) in Environmental Engineering, or equivalent, such as Civil or Geology with specialization in Environmental Engineering.
• Little experience with investigation projects in Germany. Ability to independently evaluate, select and apply standard and alternative site investigation scheme.
• Experience with environmental site assessments and audits.
• Experience with remediation projects (field supervision, installation monitoring) will be an asset.
• Interest and ability to travel periodically to support fieldwork (e.g., data collection, oversight of remedial works, etc.) with a required focus on Health and Safety.
• Proficient computer skills including experience with industry-specific software such as databases, ArcGIS, AutoCAD, etc. will be a plus.
• Self motivated, team-focused and possess a solution-based work approach.
• Solid written and verbal communication skills. Proficient spoken and written German as well as English is required. Other languages including French, Italian or Spanish are a plus considering the pan-Europe scope.
• Experience working internationally with a proven capability of working across multiple cultural backgrounds will be an asset.
