Mining and Construction (UK Based) has a position available for a Project Manager (Mining/ underground).
The Company
My client invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of Project Manager.
The position will be based at their offices in Manchester/London.
The successful candidate will report to the Project Director.
As part of the management team, you will be required to drive the project construction/ engineering function across all of the areas of site operations.
You will be responsible for assisting with managing the company projects and personal.
Responsibilities:
• Delivery of projects to specification, on time, within budget and secure payment for services
• Ensure commercial alignment for work done
• Coordinate assignment of Company project personnel
• Lead recruitment of site personnel
• Ensure an operating culture of good client communication and cooperation.
• Work with company functional heads to improve project support
• Ensure project discipline and accurate maintenance of daily records to facilitate monthly certificate sign-off and claims negotiation
• Champion extension of work on existing projects, arising from delivery excellence and innovative thinking
• Identify project talent and develop individuals, creating succession options
COMPETENCY PROFILE
Qualifications:
• Minimum Diploma/Degree
• Tertiary qualification e.g. Project Management
• Registered PPM
