Position Summary

  • This position is responsible for developing and implementing a complete HR program for Latin America region in attracting and developing key talent.
  • This position will also develop and deliver all Group programs, policies and activities in an effective & timely manager and will serve on the corporate HR Council for policies and strategies.
  • Work with the President, Vice Presidents, Regional Directors, and other business leaders to define short-term and long-term organization, staffing and employee development requirements.
  • Be responsible for comprehensive programs in a fair and equitable fashion to meet or exceed the needs of the business and prevailing market conditions and practices, including health care cost containment, employee assistance, job analysis and evaluation, performance appraisals, reward and recognition systems, and wage and salary administration.
  • Responsible for identifying staffing needs within each country and ensuring the recruitment of the highest quality candidates. Additionally ensure that appropriate actions are taken to identify and ensure the development of local nationals for advancement to senior leadership positions.
  • Prepare the annual human resource Leadership Review for the region, including replacement planning and identification of high potential employees.
  • Identify the technical, professional and management training needs of the employees within the region. Ensure the necessary programs are available locally. Product, sales and supervisory training are of primary importance.
  • In accordance with Rockwell Automation philosophy and practices, ensure that proper compensation levels and programs are maintained to motivate and retain employees. Develop local annual merit budgets, sales bonus programs and job evaluations. Develop and implement special incentive programs where required to meet specific objectives.
  • Insure the proper benefit levels and programs are maintained in each country. Control overall expense through the use of cost effective programs.
  • Ensure the maintenance of accurate human resource files of all employees within the region.
  • Advise and assist Senior Leaders and Regional Directors and other business leaders regarding employee performance issues and actions required for improvement.
  • Be responsible for comprehensive, effective employee communication programs for the free flow of information and ideas, to address employee issues, maintain a culture of openness and empowerment and support the needs of the business and community.
  • Be responsible for the development and leadership of all human resource professionals within the region.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience gained in a senior management role within a major multinational corporation with exposure in the Latin America region.
  • In depth knowledge of the full range of HR functional issues, including Talent Development, Compensation and Benefits, Succession Planning, Leadership Review and Organizational Development.
  • Good relationship builder with the ability to work effectively across different functional lines in a multicultural environment.
  • Commercial and business acumen, including an understanding of global manufacturing and sales.
  • Strategic mindset, as well as strong business skills, executive presence, experience and communications abilities to command the respect of the members of leadership and management.
  • Knowledge of the Spanish language will be an advantage.
  • Degree holder with professional qualifications in HR Management, MBA is a plus.
