Multi-client reports range from comprehensive specialist geological or integrated multi disciplinary data rich studies to regional or country review studies based on publicly available literature.
Description (of role)
The post holder will be employed in the capacity of Marketing Geologist to be based in KL, Malaysia. The role will involve the marketing and sales of FRL non proprietary products to clients in the region together with the provision of support for FRL and FRGC staff visiting SE Asia.
Key Tasks:
• Sales of [Company] existing non-exclusive regional datasets, including Tellus, Redbook reports and other datasets and products
• Developing non-exclusive opportunities in SE Asia
• Liaising, where applicable, with other [Company] operating Companies in the development of integrated non-exclusive studies
• Liaising closely with the operational departments within [Company] and with other operational groups within the FRGC
The position will be based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia but will involve a significant amount of international travel, predominantly within SE Asia, Australia and the Far East.
Position requirements
EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
• Relevant Geoscience BSc Degree
• Relevant Geoscience MSc Degree
• Relevant Geoscience PhD Degree
EXPERIENCE OF:
• Working for an oil and gas consultancy Company
• Sales and Marketing Background
• Sales and Marketing background in the Oil and Gas Sector
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
• A sound technical grounding
• Knowledge of business development in countries with a variety of cultures
• Understanding of Geographical Information Systems
• Good IT Skills
