Description
- The Marketing Communications Specialist, eMarketing reports to the Global Marketing Manager and partners with all functions and associated leaders across [Company] with the responsibility for strategic planning, development, and implementation of digital communication technologies to support business growth objectives.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Provide vision and leadership to guide the creative and strategic use of digital communications, including Web sites, e-newsletters, portals, multimedia presentations, social media sites and blogs.
- Responsible for increasing product awareness and purchase intent by developing, launching, and managing various online and offline interactive/digital marketing campaigns and tools. This includes aspects of online and mobile marketing such as media planning, public relations, promotions, distributor support, and Web site development.
- Work with the marketing department to develop a comprehensive, creative digital communications strategy for[Company] . Lead and manage the implementation of the digital communications strategy in support of the integrated communications and marketing plan.
- Oversee interactive marketing infrastructure and Web strategy relating to site design, content and information display, and site usability, consistent with the company’s overall integrated marketing plan.
- Lead project and program management efforts for all eMarketing related efforts, including budget planning and tracking.
- Collaborate with internal and external technical and creative teams to ensure delivery of accurate content. Coordinate with technical and creative professionals to execute projects within specific time and budget constraints.
- Support development of Web sites in all geographies and maintain responsibility for the online communication of brand image and product value to target markets.
- Create and enhance site design, layout, content, and navigation with a focus on customer usability and functions.
- Work with individual marketing team members to research and implement new and unique online marketing campaigns ensuring current interactive and digital marketing campaigns are up to date, competitive, and effective with other industry initiatives. Learn the latest means for digital and electronic communications, and ensure that investments in this area provide significant return to overall communications and marketing goals.
- Provide leadership and support for online global branding initiatives.
- Find ways to measure the effectiveness of implemented eMarketing programs via surveys, focus groups or other methods, adjusting programs based on employee feedback / business data.

Qualifications:
- Desired 5 to 10 years of experience in the communications field, with 3 to 6 years of demonstrated success in Web marketing and Web strategy initiatives.
- Four-year college degree, preferably in communications, marketing, or public relations. Advanced business degree a plus, but not required.
- Outstanding communication skills, both oral and written, as well as excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate and interact with employees at all levels in the organization and across all regions.
- Excellent project management skills. Great organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to balance multiple short and long term projects in addition to balance of regional and corporate priorities. Ability to meet deadlines, budgets and objectives.
- Ability to work with and gain the trust of people at all levels of the company, including senior leadership.
- Outstanding computer skills. PC and Apple proficiency desired with knowledge of Microsoft Office required. Knowledge of the following helpful, but not required: photo editing software, layout/graphic design software, web content management systems, design software including Macromedia Authorware, Flash, Adobe Illustrator, PhotoShop, and current Internet and e-learning technologies.
- Ability to translate technical data into easy-to-understand language for communications across customer and employee base (across markets and regions).
- Willingness and ability to learn our business, our markets, our organization and our customer base. Should have an understanding of business across markets and regions. Willingness to travel (10 - 20% potential) and work independently as required.
- Solid understanding of Web and related technologies; familiarity with and awareness of nontraditional digital communications, such as, blogs, podcasts, and other social media related technologies as required for implementing key business and marketing strategies.
- Experience defining Web site architecture, layout, and navigation in support of user-centric design strategies.
- Ability to inform and engage marketing teams in emerging digital marketing methods.
- Understanding of technical and creative aspects of online practices including optimal coding, site architecture, user experience, interface design, and data integrations.
