Field Engineer (Heavy Plant)

Our client is a world leader in specialist commercial / industrial plant, known for the supply of equipment to a variety of different industries such as construction; demolition; forestry; recycling; mining and many other sectors.

They are seeking 2 additional field service engineers to join the team. One to take responsibility for the South East of the UK, the other to look after the Midlands and North.

Your day to day responsibilities will involve the commissioning, service and maintenance of this site based equipment for a variety of different industries. Travelling throughout the territory you will have to demonstrate a great deal of flexibility and adaptability, sometimes working in the open in all weathers. The equipment is of a highly specialist nature and will give you the opportunity to become a product expert in this equipment.

In order to be considered you will need to demonstrate:
• A proven track record in the mechanical maintenance and service of heavy industrial plant
• Good understanding of hydraulics, electrical systems and welding
• The ability to cover overnight stays when necessary
• Highly professional and adaptable in nature with the ability to deal with customers at all levels.
• The ability to work independently and under pressure.
