Fabrication Manager

A progressive global organisation, employing over 8,000 people, Joy Mining Machinery is the world's leading supplier of underground mining equipment.


We are now looking for a Manager to join us at our Pinxton site to be responsible for managing our Fabrication requirements, either produced internally or by external procurement.

You will co-ordinate the manufacture of complex one-off fabrications through to multiple orders in a timely and cost-effective manner and to a high quality. Utilising resources to achieve planned production, whilst ensuring safe working practices and staff are adequately trained to provide flexibility. In addition you will examine manufacturing methods for improvements and efficiency.

Ideally educated to degree level in an engineering discipline, you will have proven experience in a production environment and heavy fabrication at a Supervisory or Management level. The ability to handle multiple priorities and manage people is essential, together with good communication skills and commercial acumen. Computer literacy is essential, and knowledge of Kronos and SAP are desirable but not essential.
