Senior Research & Development Specialist, In-Situ

The successful individual will join an extremely talented team and will be the key point of contact responsible for the research and development of a large thermal and mining asset including the technology program.

The key responsibilities for this role are:

• Liaise with the senior management team and the R&D network to identify, develop and recommend research projects
• Identify and compile competitive intelligence in a strategic research plan to be adopted by the team
• Develop a strong network of mutual collaboration within the government, research and industry professionals
• Hold a key presence within the industry and present the organization in various conferences, meetings and technical and or steering committees
• Assist with contract and patent development

The successful candidate must have:

• An Engineering or Science background with a post graduate university degree, min. of a Masters with a PhD preferred
• Proven history of working within a process, facility or research environment
• A minimum of 10 years of experience with a preference of in-situ experience
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and possessing strong leadership skills
• Must be very comfortable working within a multi-disciplinary team environment with both internal and external parties
