Mine Operations Engineer

Key responsibilities:

  • Development of the mine operations strategy including the operational organization, staffing plans and work schedules;
  • Development of the plans around performance workflow;
  • Development of the mine information systems including identifying the critical path and defining the strategy of the mine
  • Prepare the mining operations and maintenance organization for production

The successful candidate must have:

  • Engineering degree in mine engineering.  APEGGA registration
  • A minimum of 6 to 8 years of experience working in mine planning and/or mine operations. 
  • Preference will be given to those candidates with oil sands experience.
  • You must be highly motivated with exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Familiar with mine planning and scheduling software
