Mineral Processing Engineer

Key Accountabilities and Functions

You will be a part of the Mineral Processing team working primarily on Mining and Heavy Industrial projects, the duties will include but not be limited to the following:

• Supervise work of a technical nature of project/s.
• Prepare reports and coordinate/supervise the preparation of comprehensive reports and evaluations.
• Manage and mentor a team of engineers in the preparation of detailed design for a process plant.
• Prepare estimates of operating costs.
• Prepare proposals for work including scope, execution plan, cost estimate, and schedule.
• Prepare plans for commissioning and start up of process plants.
• liaison with clients.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in the design/construction/operation of mineral processing plants.
• At least 7 years experience in providing input on design projects, within an EPCM environment.
• Relevant experience in Mineral Processing is required as well as experience with gold and copper or base metal concentrators.
• Experience in mining or minerals process design such as slurry systems, crushing, grinding, sizing, floatation, filtration, thickening processes, gold leaching and recovery
• Eligibility or registration as a Professional Engineer
• The ideal candidate will be hardworking, highly creative, achievement focused, have a strong attention to details and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Should have the ability to work closely with the other process departments and other disciplines
