Buyer/Planner

Job Description

• The Buyer/Planner for Actuant Electrical in Menomonee Falls, WI significantly contributes to year over year sales growth and operational improvement through ordering and expediting both domestic and international finished goods and raw materials for multiple businesses.  This includes supplier management, price and change management, PO processing and delivery assurance. The Buyer/Planner will also contribute to the improved management of Inventory replenishment to multiple internal and external facilities.

Key responsibilities of this individual are:

• Manages PO creation and confirmation process.  Responsible for modifying PO’s as needed to maintain accurate system delivery dates.
• Monitor supplier performance for delivery compliance.
• Assist in management of Slow Moving and Obsolete Inventory.  Includes limiting the purchasing of it as well as disposition of existing excess.
• Manage invoice hold process collaborating with the accounts payable department.
• Maintain Oracle database purchasing and planning parameters to drive desired replenishment strategies.  Utilize sales and operations planning process data to achieve the best results.
• Responsible for inventory levels and replenishment to outside warehouse locations in addition to the hub DC.
• Analyzes Reorder points, safety stock, MOQs, order multiples and supplier safety stock programs to maximize service with appropriate inventory investment. 
• Works closely with Customer Service, Sourcing, Production Scheduling, Product Marketing, Manufacturing, Distribution and Engineering to ensure that new products and special promotional merchandise is available to meet schedules.
• Responsible for achieving desired service levels for assigned sku’s.  Reports regularly to stake holders on the status of inventory shortages providing recovery plans and root cause analysis.
