We are currently recruiting for an experienced Contracts Administrator to join one of the worlds foremost Engineering & Construction Contractors. Their work is mainly within Oil & Gas, Mining and Water infrastructure and covers full project lifecycle. 
 
With a number of major projects currently underway in remote QLD and several in the pipeline there is a requirement for a talented and ambitious Contracts Administrator. You will work on a major mining project in remote QLD.

The role will encompass a broad range of CA / QS duties including but not limited to:
  • Administering assigned contracts maintaining a continual review of progress and providing management with information regarding projected financial or technical difficulties. Preparing periodic status reports for management.
  • Coordinating with designated staff on operational activities affecting contractual rights and obligations, (sub)contract performance, (sub)contract administration and other major matters.
  • Administering contract changes by negotiating with customer personnel and obtaining settlement.  Take part in contractual discussions of moderate complexity and in (sub)contract negotiations.
  • Administering information programs to ensure mutual understanding of (sub)contract terms and conditions.   
Ideally you will have:
  • Specialized courses or experience in pricing, contract law, negotiations and accounting.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in (sub)contract administration required.
  • Basic knowledge of procurement regulations, policies and practices. Working knowledge of engineering/construction industry contracting practices and policies, procedures and work practices.
  • Experience in developing contract types, fee arrangements and contract terms. Experience in developing and recommending potential solutions to contractual problems to management.
  • A relevant tertiary level qualification e.g. Construction Management, Construction Economics or Quantity Surveying.
