A new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Security Engineer to join a nationally acclaimed IT service provider.

The position will work alongside a team of highly qualified professionals who provide solutions to small to large organizations in Government, Mining, Utilities, Healthcare and Banking.

As the Security Engineer, you will be responsible for the administration, support and maintenance of the Security Infrastructure. You will be required to ensure that improvements and solutions provided are in line with Security Best Practice and you will aid in the implementation of upgrades.

In order to be successful you will need to have exceptional written and verbal communication skills and be confident in liaising with a variety of business professionals and stakeholders.

On a day to day basis you will responsible for:

• Security infrastructure administration
• Troubleshooting and issue resolution
• Recommending improvements and upgrades (via analysis)
• Maintaining Security Best Practice standards
• Investigating events
• Liaising with various business professionals - vendors, Managed Services Team etc
• Complying with accepted methodology and standards

In order to be successful, you will have previously worked in a comparable role and will have extensive experience in the provision of security solutions. You will be capable of applying Security Best practice and will have maintained and improved security infrastructure previously. Ideally you will possess the following skills and experience:

• Bluecoat Proxy
• Checkpoint Firewall
• Juniper JUNOS CRX
• Unix
• Cisco
• ITIL
