A national logistics company with a strong presence in the booming mining, oil & gas, manufacturing and steel industries has an opportunity for a Systems Administrator (Windows/VMware/Storage) to join a well established, dynamic and people focussed team and be responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of DRP using SAN replication in VMware.
To pro-actively monitor the SAN and VMware server systems providing support and recommendations on the daily operations of these.
To liaise with other Business Systems teams within IT encouraging knowledge sharing and developing good practices across the team and to allow adequate planning and support of all existing and future applications.
This position must also effectively prioritise and manage service desk calls to a successful conclusion and contribute to a culture of service excellence throughout the organisation.
This is a permanent opportunity based in North Sydney (close to the train station) and the salary package is very attractive.
Responsibilities:
General provision of 1st and 2nd level support networks and VMware SAN server environment.
Maintaining and supporting the server VMware - must have had experience in a commercial environment.
The whole infrastructure works with SAN - must have had experience with SAN.
Requirements:
5 years experience in VMware
Solid experience supporting and maintaining SAN technologies
Experience with Windows 2008
Excellent communication skills are required.
