Procurement Officer

Global multi-disciplinary engineering firm Parsons Brinckerhoff and parent company Balfour Beatty have joined forces to provide integrated EPCM services to the global mining industry. Pit to port. Concept to Commissioning. Right now we are working on major projects in Western Australia and across the world.
 
The Opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Procurement Officer to join our busy project team on a 12 month contract.  Reporting to the Contracts and Procurement Manager, the Procurement Officer's primary role is to ensure the effective tendering, negotiating, awarding and on-going administration of contracts for the supply of goods and services.

The Role
This Perth based position will suit a confident, motivated and dynamic personality who can complement the current Project Controls team.  The requirements of this role will include, but not be limited to:

• Facilitate and manage the request for proposals and pricing to suppliers/contractors
• Assessment of proposals received
• Assist with reviewing Terms and Conditions
• Manage internal and external communication with suppliers and contractors
• Develop and implement contracting systems, policies and procedures
• Assist with development of reports for distribution to senior management
• Prepare contract variations
• Maintaining insurance certificates with suppliers and contractors are up to date
• Assist with engaging any contractor or supplier or amend or extend existing contracts

For Success
To succeed in this role will you will have/be:

• 3 – 5 years experience in a similar role
• A tertiary qualification in contracts and procurement, supply chain management, business or related discipline would be highly regarded. 
• Exposure to the Western Australian resources and construction industries
• Advanced skills across the MS Office Suite of products as a minimum
