Anvil Mining is a TSX/ASX listed resource company with a main operational site at Kinsevere that is now poised to become a significant copper producer in the Katanga Copper belt through the operation of its high quality cathode copper project.
Kinsevere is 30 km north of Lubumbashi, the major city of the Katanga Province and the foremost city in the DRC after the capital, Kinshasa. There is over 500 employees in the DRC, including approximately 45 expatriates.
The Company now seeks applications from a suitably qualified and experienced professional where the focus will be on ensuring the Health and Safety of the operational field based management and operational work force along with the corporate support team.
This role requires an experienced Senior OHS Manager with previous leadership experience across OHS, Security & Community Development. The incumbent will be required to work with Site Management in strategically developing the OHS direction and implementation of continuous improvement across the Company’s DRC operations.

The successful applicant will:
• Hold tertiary qualifications in OHS with at least five years’ experience in a mining or mineral processing operation, preferably in a developing country.
• Develop and implement best practice OH&S Strategy with senior Management team
• Have strong Analytical and judgment skills / experience.
• Demonstrate confidence with executive management & excellent communication skills.
• Have experience in extensive mentoring and people management experience
• Have extensive knowledge on Occupational Health and Safety legislation, regulation and code of practice within the mining industry.
• Demonstrate ability to develop strong management relationships, display excellent communication skills and high practical service orientation.
