Our client, a global Operator in the oil and gas industry, is looking to expand their team and are looking for a FIFO Safety Advisor on a long term contract, minimum of 12 months with extension options.
Key responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Conduct site inspections identifying any hazards and suggesting site improvements and report any feedback
Participate in Job Hazard Analysis (JHA'S); and project HAZID risk reviews to ensure risks are managed
Conduct tool box talks for the Construction site
Carry out checks on permits to work
Assist in training contractors onsite in health and safety requirements
Required skills, experience and attributes:
Formal qualification in OH&S/Certificate IV in Training & Assessment
Experience in the oil and gas industry with Health & Safety background
Previous experience in internal auditing systems
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Able to conduct onsite investigations and report on the findings
Able to assist in the administration of the Fitness for Work Policy including drug & alcohol testing
