Manager MRM

A listed company is seeking a MRM Manager with sound knowledge of Mineral Resource Management in a coal environment for their operations in Limpopo

Minimum Requirements

• 8 to 10 years experience in Geology Mining or Plant Operations
• BEng (Essential / Minimum)
• MSc: Mineral Resource Management (Recommended / Desirable)
• First Line Management Program (Recommended / Desirable)

Job Specification

• Oversee all recruitment and HR related activities of reporting staff.
• Manage internal and external relations, including the interface with external providers or other functions responsible to ensure that the business needs are met and employees are satisfied.
• Maintain a healthy environment, safe operations and practices. 
• Comply with SHEC- and technical requirements, in line with Plant / Mine availability targets.
• Implement SHEC programs and ensure adherence to all relevant mine surveying and statutory mine plans with regard to (MH and SA, MPRDA, MTRA and Water Act).
• Maintain a surveying control network for all spatial referenced data, within the legal and operational requirements, on surface and underground.
• Establish and monitor an optimized mineral resource plan
• Put BPM metrics in place and apply with the approved LOM corrective actions toward minimizing deviations.
• Minimise the deviation from week, month and rolling year plan in terms of volume, quality, time and location by optimising the planning process.
• Modeling mine schedule for medium and short term.
• Facilitate an end to end process combining MRM principals with technology, value in use and customer relationship.
• Establish and implement BI strategy for the BU. 
• Drive research and development initiatives to ensure BI and enhanced performance.
• Manage performance improvement of resource management models and equipment.
• Benchmark plant / mining activities and track performance to indicate improvement opportunities.
• Manage the plan life cycle according to BPM processes
• Optimization of medium and life of mine plans in line with regional mine to market strategy.
• Ensure alignment of mine planning parameters in line with corporate guidelines.
• Coordination of medium and short term production plans to ensure mine targets are met in terms of market and product strategy. 
• Evaluate different mine planning scenarios and recommend best alternative for business planning and budget based on best returns.
• Coordination of mine planning activities across departments to ensure compliance to approved standards.
• Coordinate geological activities employed at mine for both production and project geology
