Description and Desired Qualifications
- Our Substation CAD Drafting Technician position will offer you an exciting opportunity to help our utility Clients provide safe, clean and reliable sources of Electric power to heat homes and schools, run factories and provide goods and services that we all depend upon. Each day you will use your expertise in CAD drafting to help our Clients meet the power needs of their customers.
Our Substation CAD Drafting Technician:
- Supports substation projects performing drafting tasks.
- Routine tasks include substation electrical physical and non-physical drawing elements.
- Complies with project/task drafting standards.
SPECIAL NOTE:
- CH2M HILL will not sponsor a work visa (e.g. H1B, etc.,) to fill this position. CH2M HILL will only consider qualified candidates residing in the greater Denver area.
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years demonstrated experience in substation industry as a draftperson.
- Minimum 10 years project experience as an electrical systems draftsperson.
- Demonstrated experience in drawing file management.
- Working knowledge of Microstation.
Preferred Qualifications
- High level of proficiency in substation physical and non-physical work product drafting.
- Working knowledge of substation components and their application in substations.
- Experience with PacifiCorp substation drafting standards.
- Working knowledge of computer aided design (CAD) platforms and their use on projects.
