JOB STATEMENT
Project Engineer is involved in implementation of [C} Metso [/C] equipment deliveries to Russian customers.
Project Engineer is supporting Project Manager in customer contacts, technical documentation handling, manufacturers/suppliers control, forwarding and custom clearance, site works organizing, certification and permitting (technical issues).
JOB DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Customer contacts – contractual issues, schedule, docs, site works etc.
• Project technical documentation expediting and controlling
• Shipment following in technical respects
• Installation/commissioning team leading and supporting (in cooperation with PL’s and local Service department), signing contractual delivery/acceptance acts
• Project manufacturers/suppliers inspecting and expediting
• Custom clearance, certification and permitting supporting with the technical documentation
• Local project costs planning and controlling
• Project Manager supporting in project status following-up and reporting
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
• High technical education (preferably electrical-mechanical)
• Working experience (3-5 years) in heavy machine industry (preferably in mineral processing or construction) as a technical specialist (preferably in design, project management, manufacturing or service)
• Understanding of purchasing, manufacturing, logistics, custom clearance as well as project management principles and practices
• General knowledge about equipment certification and permissions is an advantage
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
• Native or very fluent Russian
• Advanced English language skill (written and spoken)
• Positive customer relations, good communication and interpersonal skills are necessary
• Ability to understand mechanical and civil drawings, electrical and hydraulic diagrams required
• Negotiation experience, knowledge of commercial and legal terms and conditions preferred
• Must have the ability to complete assigned tasks with a minimum of supervision
• Must travel domestically and internationally may be away from office for extended periods (up to 40% of working time)
• Computer skills including Microsoft Office Products, CAD programs (AutoCAD)
• Highly motivated individuality with the ability to work under stress and meet tight deadlines.
• Must be capable of effectively and accurately working on several projects at one time, and organizing and prioritizing tasks
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Must be capable of working in a fast paced environment
