District Sales Manager
Position Summary:
- Manage all marketing and sales activity within the Rocky Mountain Aggregate District (currently Colorado, Utah, Nevada) while reporting to the Regional VP/GM of the District. Key job duties include: managing accounts and contracts, developing and implementing sales and marketing strategies for respective markets, overseeing the development of customer relationships and account plans, assisting in the management of the District’s logistic network, developing a self-starting high performing sales team, providing sales budgets/forecasts/marketing reports to District and Division management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, mining or related discipline or equivalent experience required; MBA a plus
- 5+ years sales management experience in the aggregates or construction materials industry
- Self-starter with excellent planning, administrative, time management and communication skills
- Solid knowledge of and ability to manage transportation logistics
- Outstanding persuasion skills and capable of developing and maintaining good relationships with company and customer personnel
- Strong team and personal development skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; working knowledge of sales related software applications
- Strong product knowledge of aggregates; product knowledge of ready-mix or asphalt desirable
- Ability to travel overnight as needed
