Human Resources and Safety Manager
Position Summary:
- Provide professional and technical assistance to plant site operations, both asphalt pave and construction groups, and ensure procedures, practices and programs are consistent with established Corporate, local, state and Federal regulations for locations in the Colorado area. Implement, monitor and maintain safety, health and human resource programs and facilitate corrective measures as necessary. Provide guidance and assist in maintaining worker's compensation program and OSHA injury/illness recording practices. Responsible for industrial hygiene testing, equipment, and interpreting results of monitoring.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management or related discipline or equivalent experience required
- 5+ years human resources and/or safety experience, preferably in heavy manufacturing or construction environment
- 3-5 years’ experience with asphalt/pave desired
- Solid knowledge of employment law and OSHA regulations
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook
- Willing and able to work flexible hours and travel overnight
