Senior Geotechnical Engineer

Our company's operation is located at the south-east corner of the city of Kalgoorlie-Boulder, which is about 600kms east of Perth in Western Australia. The Super Pit produces up to 800,000 ounces/annum and is currently the biggest open pit Gold mine in the country.  Kalgoorlie is home to over 30,000 permanent residents, which makes it the largest city in outback Australia!

Supervise the development of structural geological models as well as supporting other company projects that optimise mine designs, this will include:

• Plan and run diamond drilling
• Contribute to other new & exciting Geotechnical projects
• Building & maintaining structural, geological & engineering models
• Providing support to the pit operations by proactively identifying adverse Geotechnical conditions.
• LOM Geotechnical open pit designs

To be considered for this position, you will have previous experience working as a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, have knowledge of structural geology modelling in an open pit and are able to demonstrate proficiency in both Geotechnical data collection and open pit slope design.
