Crosslands Resources Ltd is emerging as a key supplier of high quality Western Australian iron ore to major world markets. Our company holds mining leases in the Jack Hills and Weld Range areas of Western Australia’s mid-west region, about 380 kilometres north-east of Geraldton. A planned major expansion is set to place Crosslands as a cornerstone project to the growing iron ore province in the mid-west region.

Reporting to the Project Process Manager, this position is required to provide effective technical, cost and schedule management of all testwork programs, consultants and equipment suppliers. Provide input to process development activities, working closely with consultant and vendor Process Engineers.

The key elements of this position include:

Technical, schedule and cost management of Process Development testwork programs
Responsible for coordinating contract Engineering personnel undertaking test work and flow sheet development
Initially completion of the current feasibility study, then continue into front end engineering, design, construction, commissioning and continuous operations.
Coordinate testwork results into process engineering design and equipment selections
The development of processes flow sheets (PFD’s and P&ID’s) based on testwork results
Preparation and review of equipment specifications
Review of equipment tenders for technical compliance
Check of consultant design work including mass balance, equipment sizing and data sheets
Assist with management of a team comprising staff and Engineering contractors

The successful candidate will meet the following key criteria

Between 5 and 10 years experience in either large scale metallurgical operations or an engineering design environment
Experience in development of a greenfields mineral processing project through to commissioning stage will be well regarded
Supervisory experience is considered beneficial
Sound knowledge of mineral beneficiation processes, particularly in areas of magnetic and gravity separators, milling and classification processes, thickening and filtration
An operations or engineering background in iron ore or another large scale mineral processing industry,
Familiar with bench scale and pilot plant testwork and laboratory analytical techniques
Tertiary qualification in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgy or similar
