Senior Financial / Tax Accountant

This is an exciting time for our company and for any professional in the mineral sands industry. Our company is a leading producer of mineral sands products and its parent company, Cristal, is one of the largest producers and suppliers of titanium dioxide in the world.

An opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join our team based at Henderson in Perth.

This senior position, reporting directly to the Financial Controller, will be actively involved in broad range of financial, management and tax accounting as well as leading the month end, statutory and tax reporting processes for the Company’s mining and manufacturing operations.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

• Degree (Accounting or Commerce)
• CPA, CA or MBA will be highly regarded
• Experience in the preparation of consolidated group general purpose financial statements
• Experience in tax effect accounting and preparation of income, fringe benefit and withholding tax returns
• Experience in controlling month end procedures and preparing consolidated reporting packs
• Initiative and the ability to work independently
• Excellent communication and influencing skills
• Ability to work effectively with external auditors and tax consultants
• Experience in mining/resources sector highly regarded
• SAP or large ERP business system experience highly regarded
• Hyperion reporting experience
