Production Metallurgist

This is an exciting time for our company and for any professional in the mineral sands industry. Our company is a leading producer of mineral sands products and its parent company, Cristal, is one of the largest producers and suppliers of titanium dioxide in the world.

An opportunity exists for an experienced Production Metallurgist to join our team based at the Bunbury processing plant (approximately 2 hours drive south of Perth).

Reporting to the Manager Mineral Separation Plant this role is responsible for the day to day Metallurgical optimisation of the plant.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

• Overall plant performance
• Metallurgical accounting for the plant
• Ensure that quality standards are met
• Oversee the management of the Citect Scada system
• Provide technical expertise for development work
• Active participation in the Energy Efficiency Opportunity program

This role requires an individual who demonstrates leadership in the areas safety and the environment. Excellent working relationships with production and maintenance personnel are essential, as well as have a proven track record with respect to analysis and reporting.

Applicants must have a tertiary qualification in metallurgy or a related discipline and preference will be given to candidates with experience within the Titanium mineral industry.
