Field Service Technician

World Leader in heavy duty earthmoving and mining vehicles has an outstanding position for a Field Service Technician.

The successful in applicant will be responsible to provide effective service to clients ensuring full customer satisfaction resulting in future capital sales.

Requirements:

• Matric / Grade 12 certificate or NTC Qualification
• Qualified Trade Tested Fitter
• Valid drivers license
• Must be computer literate
• Fitness Certificate (Red Ticket) required
• 5 years Surface mining/equipment experience
• Sound Mechanical, Electrical and Hydraulic knowledge
• Knowledge of surface Mining methods
• Maintenance, fault finding and repair in all aspects of Mining vehicles
• Self motivation and a sense of commitment is required
• Advanced computer literacy on MS Office
• Commissioning of Mining vehicles
• Fault finding and repair of equipment
• Preventative equipment maintenance and inspection
• Root cause analysis
• Training of mine staff
• Ensure correct cost effective use of equipment
• Identify problem areas
• Monitor parts requirements
• Record keeping
• Submit daily reports to engineer
• Effective and reliable time sheet management
• Develop customer relations
• Monitoring on Parts
• Regular equipment condition assessments and reports
• RCA / RCFA investigation and reporting
• Participation in projects as and when required
• Supervision of sub-contractors as and when required
• Person must reside in the Middelburg or surrounding area.
