This global company, whose head office is based on the Sunshine Coast, provides custom designed solutions of mine dewatering pumps and equipment within the Mining Industry.

 They are seeking a Mackay resident for this role in their new team, based in their Mackay Service Centre where you will report to the Sales Manager – Mining Australia and APAC.

 Travelling regularly, you will manage the current account base and develop future business within the mining sector from Mackay through to Far North Queensland.  

Your ability to build relationships and communicate at all levels is critical to your success. Your technical know how and product knowledge will see you specifying pumping solutions to customers.  Success will be measured on meeting budgets and obtaining customer growth. 
 
To be successful you will have:

• Engineering equipment sales experience
• Pumping background preferred
• Mining experience is desirable
• Technical aptitude, preferably with a trade background
• Lateral thinker and driven self starter
• IT competent
• Advanced written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work remotely while maintaining a team mentality
• Ability to work with people across all levels and backgrounds
• Effective communication skills to build relationships
