We are a leading civil engineering consultancy in the region with 40 staff and a reputation built up over 25 years in the areas of Civil Infrastructure and Transportation; Urban Development; Sporting Facilities; and Building Services. We are seeking the appointment of Manager Urban Development to join our Canberra office. This executive position will play a strategic role in the growth of the business and hold a key position in leading/developing our already successful Urban Design and Construction Management team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to become a senior member of the leadership team and play a significant role in continuing the successful operations of the business.

The primary objectives and principal responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Management and overseeing the Canberra offices Urban Design and Construction Management team
• Staff development and resource management
• Client management and development Successful project delivery
• Preparation and coordination of tenders and proposals
• Marketing and business development

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering (Civil)
• Eligibility for Membership of the Institution of Engineers Australia
• Minimum 10 years experience

Skills

• Engineering design in urban land development
• Ability and exposure to managing/leading a team of professionals
• Ability to communicate and consult with co-workers and clients at all levels
• Experience working within a consulting environment

This exciting role will involve managing and winning Urban Development projects throughout the ACT and Southern NSW regions. The successful applicant will be involved in client liaison, co-ordination of Cardno design teams and management of specialist sub-consultants.
