Our client an organization within the mining sector requires a Business Systems Manager to join their team

• Relevant Degree

Experience/Criteria

• 3-5 years’ experience in skills development/IT/business systems development and maintenance.
• ICT in the mining and minerals sector would be an advantage
• Experience and skills to manage projects, and ability to manage more than one project at a time
• Strategic management
• Stakeholder focus
• Excellent Computer literacy
• Must be an effective leader, as well as a team member
• Knowledge of the Skills Development Act, National Qualifications Act, Mine Health and Safety Act, and Minerals and Petroleum Resources Development Act as well as relevant Financial and Governance legal frameworks e.g. ICT.

Main Job Function

• Development, maintenance and continuous improvement of the core business systems comprising of Management Information System and the ISO9001-2008 Quality Management System
• Fulfil the responsibilities of the ISO 9001:2008 Internal Auditor
• Maintain and develop ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System
• Ensure that the Management Information System and the Quality Management System are fully integrated across all operational Units
• Maintain and lead Stakeholders and Staff forum for the Management Information System
• Establish and lead a Governance Forum for the Management Information System
• Manage the Management Information System Service level agreement
• Manage, develop and continuously improve training materials and processes
• Manage, develop and implement an electronic monitoring and reporting system
• Manage, develop and implement the quarterly monitoring and reporting (QMR) system for DHET reporting
• Manage, develop and implement the DHET score card monitoring and reporting system
• Establish and maintain an accurate data base system for all generated data
• Develop an IT strategic plan in conjunction with the COO and the IT unit
• Develop, Maintain and align business systems processes and procedures with IT infrastructure
• Implement, maintain and review business process re-engineering processes and systems
• Manage all business process and IT service providers and associated deliverables and targets
• Establish and maintain management and information system (MIS) and centralised database system for all data.
• Administration and maintenance on Information and data system
• Ensure effective and efficient internal business controls
• Manage all business systems related contract service providers and ensure performance
• Establish, support and maintain the MIS system
