My client, a well respected main contractor is looking for a Planner to join their team in Brisbane.

This mid tier contractor covers both mining and infrastructure projects across QLD and you will enjoy a varied and interesting workload.   Typical projects range from heavy infrastructure site development, sub divisions to infrastructure for Road and Rail projects.  Due to their varied workload, this client will consider applicants with a variety of experience; however, your ability to highlight your experience working on civil infrastructure projects throughout your career is essential.

Due to the remote locations of some sites, you might be required to do FIFO or DIDO from Brisbane on occasion. However, if you are required to go to site you will benefit a site uplift.
Your main role and responsibilities will include:
  • Reporting - preparing, monitoring and producing all progress of works, trends, schedule outcome, variations and efficiency
  • Resources - monitoring current resources and identifying resource requirements to maintain project objectives
  • Strategies - ensuring optimum project strategies and problem solving by evaluating different project options and choosing most favourable option
  • Risk - Forecasting, identification and analysis of risk and presenting outcomes of uncertainty and corrective actions
  • Mentoring - mentoring and supporting more junior members of staff
  • Liaison - liaising and communicating with all senior members of the project team with regards to performance, forecasting and cost
To be considered for this role you will need the following experience:
  • Tertiary qualifications
  • 5 years experience working as a Project Planner with extensive experience working on civil construction projects
  • Excellent communication skills - written, verbal and presentation
