Sales Manager

Our client is looking for a Sales Manager operating in specialised pully systems in the mining and power generation markets.
  • The successful applicant will be responsible for generating sales and maintaining relationships.
  • Technical background is essential. 
  • A mining background will be given preference

Minimum Requirements

  • Fluent communication in English and Afrikaans (Written & Verbal);
  • Grade 12 and a tertiary Technical or Sales & Marketing Qualification is preferable (Applicant must understand the commercial principles of business);
  • Ability to read engineering drawings;
  • Computer literate - Microsoft Office Suite of Products;
  • Previous Sales position in similar markets.

Job Specification

Key Performance Areas

  • Visit Company Clients allocated in call cycles, frequency of which will be jointly agreed upon;
  • Arrange & set up appointments with customers to do product presentations, follow up on leads & represent the company to End User Customers;
  • Compile / Arrange for quotations for customers & follow up on quoted items;
  • Keep up to date with developments in the industry;
  • Resolve customer queries / complaints;
  • Implement sales strategies;
  • Communicate with customers on order status as & when required to ensure customer satisfaction;
  • Attend sales meetings.
