Magnetite Growth Manager

The Magnetite Growth Manager has to develop a Magnetite Growth Strategy and an implementation plan (and structure) to achieve long term growth targets.

The role will be responsible for the evaluation of Magnetite business and all associated opportunities and constraints.
The magnetite business plan and negotiations with stakeholders will be part of the role

Minimum Requirements

Bachelors Degree in Operations Management, Mining, Processing (MBA or MDP would be advantageous)
5 + Years in Business Development and or Commercial Management
International business environment and if possible iron ore exposure.
Willing to travel between 10 and 25% of his/her time

Job Specification

Develop, articulate and manage Magnetite Growth Strategies.
Manage magnetite growth projects.
Define, scope and execute magnetite related growth projects in support of the overall magnetite growth strategy.
To manage key external relationships, including the direction of any specific technical, logistic or service-based project.
To manage internal relationships in support of an integrated magnetite strategy including sales and marketing, finance and operations.
Accountable for linking with South African operational and logistics leaders to develop capability to transport larger volumes to customers.
Assist the General Manager Growth to develop overall growth strategies for Exco.
Develop, coach and/or mentor future leaders within the Growth team.

Good degree of commercial/technical qualification.
Negotiation skills with senior leaders internal and external.

Good product knowledge including basic understanding of magnetite production.
Ability to think creatively, recognise winning opportunities and implement solutions
