Water Engineering Intern

Description and Desired Qualifications

  • Our San Diego office is seeking a intern for Summer 2012. The selected candidate will assist engineers with a variety of tasks on civil, water, wastewater and environmental projects. For example, water and wastewater assignments may include hydraulic evaluations, cost estimation and information tracking in spreadsheets, treatment facility design using AutoCAD, assisting with document and plan preparation, utility asset management, and project management support.
  • You should be a self-motivated professional in your Junior year in college or higher and pursuing a Civil/Environmental Engineering major from an accredited university. Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint is preferred. Excellent oral and written communication, decision-making, problem resolution, and a sense of initiative are important for this position. You should have a team-oriented attitude as well as a desire to grow personally as well as professionally with this internship opportunity.

Basic Qualifications

  • Student who has completed their Junior year in an Engineering Program from an accredited undergraduate program.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, GIS and database applications is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • EIT or FE
