Our client is a highly successful worldwide energy company, with over 3500 employees.They currently have an excellent opportunity for a Lead New Developments Geophysicist, to lead the geophysical activities for new developments projects.

The Role


The role will include, but will not be limited to:
Leading the geophysical activities for the New Developments projects. Provide support to the asset for all geophysical aspects, including seismic interpretation, generation of maps, structural frameworks, seismic attributes to guide static geomodel builds, volumetric estimates, risk analysis, uncertainty analysis and well planning.

Required:
• Degree in Geology/ Geoscience subject
• Post graduate qualification preferred
• Proven industry track record of delivering quality technical work
• Affiliation to professional body preferred
• Robust knowledge and understanding of upstream oil/ gas business model
• Broad knowledge of G+G, petrophysics, reservoir engineering and production engineering
• Detailed knowledge and/ or experience of seismic interpretation; seismic interpretation and processing; basic structural geology and geology principles; geotechnical risk and uncertainty analysis; ,mapping and predicting reservoir presence and quality
• Understanding of offshore environment: offshore operational experience desirable.
