Our client is a UK based company who design & manufacture special purpose equipment for the process, minerals, and construction & mining industries. They are renowned experts in their fields and are currently working on a number of large projects.
The successful Senior Mechanical Engineer will have the following background:
-You should ideally be a Chartered Engineer (C.Eng), or at least eligible for chartership
-You should be degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
-Experience in a heavy industry environment such as:
-Materials handling equipment
-Plant design
-Pumping systems, piping, pressure vessels
-Conveyors (process industry rather than food etc)
-Silos / Chutes / Bins
The day to day role will involve:
-Engineering planning, design and operational studies of the various engineering projects.
-Design work, including research data, conducting feasibility and economic studies.
-Preparing project documents including project justifications, budget analysis, calculations, plans, specifications, cost estimates and schedules for assigned projects.
-Reviewing and checks mechanical engineering drawings, plants, estimates and reports for completeness, accuracy, and soundness of applied engineering principles, standards and policies.
-Provides guidance and work supervision for other engineering personnel as required by projects.
-Responsible for contract administration, including reviewing bid packages, preparing contracts, and preparing reports and/or making presentations.
-Ensure that all procurement and contracts comply with Company procedures and regulations.
There are various positions within this same skill set with our client so all levels of mechanical Engineer so all levels of experience will be considered.
