Mines Engineer

Time-served Electro-Mechanical Engineer with underground mines experience is urgently required to work in Europes largest underground mine near Burton-Upon-Trent.

Due to the nature of this role, my client is seeking applications from candidates who have completed their apprenticeship with the major coal producers, e.g. NCB, British Coal.

The role will be to work on underground equipment, managing Planned Maintenance activities and responding in a timely fashion to breakdowns. To be considered, applicants must have sound Electro-Mechanical experience and knowledge of PLCs.

You must be safety conscious and be able to work as part of a tightly-knit team. All necessary retraining and certifications will be carried out by the client, who will also provide all necessary clothing and equipment.
