Supervisor, Material Management

Job Description

• Serves as a Project Procurement Manager on small EPC projects, if necessary
• Under general supervision operationally to the project manager and administrative and functional direction of the department manager, or designee
• Plans, organizes, directs and controls an appropriate portion of the project material management function or directs the purchasing, material control, logistics, inspection, or field material management function on a project
• Develops, or assists in the development of, material management (material control, procurement, logistics, inspection, or field material management) activities on the project
• Performs material control, sourcing, buying, expediting, logistics, inspection, or field material management activities in accordance with the corporate OSR and established project or Material Management Plans, policies and procedures
• Provides general and direct supervision to the material management, procurement, support staff, and other material management personnel assigned to the project
• Other duties as assigned

Basic Job Requirements

• Typically requires 8 – 10 years of related experience for individual with a college degree obtained at least 5 years previously.
• Experience should be primarily in the area of material management or 10 – 15 years of related experience for individuals without a college degree.
• Experience should be primarily in the area of material management
• Excellent interpersonal and commercial skills
• Excellent computer literacy and skills
• Good leadership and decision-making skills
